Media personality and corporate communications professional Nana Akua Mensah-Aborampah has shared how her humble upbringing helped shape her successful career.

Speaking on Woman with Lerny Lomotey on 3Music TV, she revealed that she supported her mother by selling kenkey and provisions while growing up in Madina and Adenta.

According to her, the experience taught her resilience, hard work, and strong interpersonal skills.

Nana Akua said watching her parents work tirelessly to provide for the family motivated her to excel and make them proud.

After completing her education at Krobo Girls Senior High School, she developed an interest in journalism after being inspired by broadcasters Emma Morrison and Portia Gabor. She later enrolled at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, now the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC-GIJ).

She began her media career at Net 2 Television as a sports reporter before transitioning into business journalism, a field she admits was challenging at the beginning.

Nana Akua is now working in corporate communications and public affairs. Nana Akua credits her success to faith, determination, and courage.

She concluded by stating that, “It’s three things: God, goals, and guts. Once you have God, you have everything. Once you have goals, you need the guts to pursue them,” she said.
