The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has assured that the Sewua hospital will be completed by the end of the year.
Speaking on the Orange Sunrise this morning, the Ashanti Regional Minister indicated that processes on the Afari military hospital would also begin this year, with completion to be expected in 2027.
“ For Sewua, we have a commitment to complete it this year. Processes for Afari will start this year, but we may not be able to complete it this year. From where I sit, I look at it from 2027 and beyond”, he said.
In commemorating the International Youth Day celebration, Dr Frank Amoakohene urged young people to be persistent in pushing for representation and participation in national issues.
” I want to wish every young person a happy International Youth Day and also thank every youth for their contributions to their countries and especially to Ghana. I also want to urge everyone that our quest for representation and participation will not come with ease, but with perseverance and consistency, we will reach that level”, he stated.
The Ashanti Regional Minister also urged young leaders to remain focused and assemble the right people for specific tasks to ensure their success.
Dr Frank Amoakohene also addressed criticism of his social media presence, explaining that as a young minister, being approachable was a distinguishing factor for him. According to him, social media presents an opportunity for participatory leadership and brings leadership closer to the people.
Speaking on speculations about his relationship with the New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Secretary aspirant, Paul Yandoh, Dr Frank Amoakohene clarified that he used Paul Yandoh’s active criticism of his administration to promote projects he had embarked on through the region.
He commended Paul Yandoh’s style of communication, saying that light conversations were helpful in diffusing political tension in the Ashanti Region
