Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party,Awentami Paul Afoko, says the party could return to government within two years if he is elected as its National Chairman.
Speaking to party delegates during his campaign tour of the Western, Central and Eastern Regions, Mr Paul Afoko said rebuilding unity within the NPP would be key to achieving the goal.
He said his 3Rs campaign blueprint, which focuses on Reuniting, Rebuilding and Recapturing power, would guide his leadership of the party.
According to him, the NPP already has the structures and resources needed to mount a strong comeback, but internal divisions must first be addressed.
Mr Afoko also pledged to strengthen constituency and polling station structures while restoring confidence among supporters.
The NPP’s National Chairman election is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
