Afropop star Mr Eazi has returned with a new single titled “Comfort”, featuring Ghanaian-American singer Moliy, who gained international attention with the hit song ”Shake it to the Max (FLY).” The song was officially released on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Produced by Nigerian hitmaker Ragee, ”Comfort” sees Mr Eazi return to the relaxed, rhythm-driven sound associated with his signature Banku Music style. The song blends elements of Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop and R&B, with a bouncy rhythm and bass-driven production creating a smooth backdrop for both artists.
Speaking about the song, Mr Eazi described it as an ”updated version” of his signature sound. He said the track was recorded during a stay in London earlier this year and described it as music centred on romance, attraction and flattering a love interest.
The collaboration also carries a strong Ghanaian connection. Although Mr Eazi was born in Nigeria, he moved to Ghana to study at KNUST in Kumasi, where his musical career began taking shape. His early Ghanaian collaborations included ”Bankulize” with Pappy Kojo and ”Skin Tight’‘ with Efya, both produced by Juls. He has since worked with several other Ghanaian artistes, including Sarkodie, King Promise, Eugy and Kwesi Arthur.
Moliy, meanwhile, has established herself as one of Ghana’s emerging international voices. Her breakthrough song “Shake It to the Max (FLY)” gained significant global attention, with its remix reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs chart and later entering the Billboard Hot 100. Her appearance on “Comfort” therefore brings together two artistes whose careers have strong links to Ghana’s influence on global Afropop.
The release is accompanied by a music video directed by Ademola Falomo. The visuals take an 1980s-inspired approach, incorporating retro-futuristic elements such as telephone hotline aesthetics, laser-grid graphics, shopping-mall photo studio settings and oversized mobile phones.
“Comfort” also adds to what has been a busy year for Mr Eazi. Earlier in 2026, he released several singles, including “Lambo” featuring Vybz Kartel, “Hide Your Love” and “Remember That.” He also collaborated with Ghanaian musician King Promise on the album See what we’ve done, released in April.
The release of “Comfort” marks another chapter in Mr Eazi’s long-standing relationship with Ghana’s music scene. His decision to feature Moliy connects his established Banku Music sound with a younger Ghanaian voice who has been making waves internationally.
The song also demonstrates Mr Eazi’s continued interest in updating the sound that helped establish his career while maintaining the relaxed and melodic qualities associated with his music. With Moliy adding her own vocal character to the record, “Comfort” presents a cross-border collaboration between two artistes connected by Ghana’s growing influence on the global Afropop scene.
