Ghana’s comedy elite gathered on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to celebrate the nation’s top humorists, content creators, and performers at the 2026 Ghana Comedy Awards.
The standout star of the night was Aka Ebenezer, who swept two major categories, taking home both Comedy Actor of the Year (Movie/Skit) and the coveted Comedian of the Year crown.
Clemento Suarez also secured a double victory, claiming Comedy Theatre Act of the Year and Comic MC/Orator of the Year. Meanwhile, Lekzy De Comic earned top honors as Stand-Up Comedian of the Year, Jeffrey Nortey clinched Comedy Skit Act of the Year alongside Comic Writer of the Year, and dancehall musician Shatta Wale made a memorable appearance on the winner’s list, taking home Alternative Comic Act of the Year.
