Zoomlion Ghana Limited, threw its full weight behind the government’s declared National General Cleaning Days, pledging National Sanitation Days. With a massive development of personnel, heavy machinery, and technical logistics across flood-affected regions.
The company’s response follows President John Dramani Mahama’s directive to set aside Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026, for nationwide emergency sanitation efforts. Zoomlion praised the intervention as a decisive step toward safeguarding public health and restoring communities devastated by recent seasonal floods.
Following immediate coordination with the Ministry of local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Zoomlion activated its entire nationwide operational network. The company is placing its regional, districts, and municipal offices directly at the disposal of local assemblies.
- During the two-day exercise, Zoomlion will deploy: Sanitation ground crews to lead coordinated community cleanup drives.
- A massive fleet of waste collection trucks, compactors, and skip containers.
- Heavy-duty equipment to desilt choked drains, clear thick silt, and restore vital waterways.
- Emergency fumigation teams to disinfect public spaces, markets, and lorry parks, actively minimizing the post-flood of disease outbreaks.
Zoomlion urges all citizens, traditional leaders, and local businesses to spearhead the weekend cleanup within their immediate neighborhoods. The company emphasized that sustaining a clean and resilient environment relies entirely on collective civic action, not just emergency intervention. By executing this massive logistical drive, Zoomlion aims to help communities reclaim their streets, secure public health, and prevent future flood disaster.
