Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has advised students and young entrepreneurs to focus on his mindset rather than his flashy lifestyle.
Speaking at the UPSA & Entrepreneurship Conference, the award-winning musician urged the youth to build their own identity instead of trying to imitate him.
“Don’t copy my life, but what I will rather let you copy is my thinking. Don’t try to become like Shatta Wale because once upon a time, somebody told me I’m unpredictable,” he said.
The musician revealed that he could have appeared at the event in expensive Versace suits and with his fleet of luxury cars, including his Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini, but he chose to be real.
According to him, success is about mentality and not material display.
He also used the platform to back Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s push for Ga-Dangme unity.
”The Shatta Wale you guys know, the guy on the stage, the guy you guys watch on TikTok and laugh at, is the same person you’re seeing here. It’s just that6as I’m standing here right now, I’m standing here with a mindset, and that’s what I want all of you to learn: be yourself, ” he added
