President John Dramani Mahama has announced ten key development projects for the Ashanti Region, reaffirming his government’s commitment to infrastructure, health, and economic growth.

Speaking at a public gathering at Jubilee Park in Kumasi on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the President outlined a list of priority projects, including the Suame Interchange, the second phase of the Kejetia Redevelopment Project, redevelopment of the Krofrom and Mampong Markets, and the completion of the Afari Military Hospital and Sewua Regional Hospital.
Also included are upgrades to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, the KNUST Teaching Hospital, and the rehabilitation of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

President Mahama emphasized that his administration will complete both new and inherited projects, highlighting the NDC government’s focus on continuity, impact, and regional balance. He also indicated that additional development efforts are underway for the Ashanti Region as part of the national agenda.
