The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, has taken swift action to address a long-standing sanitation challenge in the Nkawie Zongo community.
The major gutter in the area had been severely choked with refuse and debris, resulting in frequent flooding whenever it rained, putting lives and property at risk.
In response, the MCE deployed a drip machine to clear the blockage and restore the proper flow of water through the drainage system.
The exercise, which drew appreciation from residents, has significantly reduced the threat of flooding in the area.
Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah reiterated his commitment to improving sanitation and infrastructure across the municipality.
He also called on the public to desist from dumping refuse into gutters, urging a collective responsibility in keeping the environment clean and safe.
