Flagbearer and Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has addressed and dispelled speculations suggesting that he plans to import Fulanis to Ghana due to their relation to his wife.
The Vice President clarified these misconceptions during his campaign in the Ashanti Region, specifically at Ejura, urging constituents to disregard such unfounded claims.
There were allegations that, if elected, Dr. Bawumia would allow the Fulani tribe to encroach on Ghana’s lands, potentially leading to the destruction of farmers’ crops by their cattle.
However, Dr. Bawumia emphatically denied these rumors, stating that he has no intention of pursuing such actions.
“I’ve been made aware of certain propaganda suggesting that I would bring Fulani people to ruin your crops with their animals if I am elected. I want to make it clear that these claims are entirely false, and I urge you to ignore them,” he emphasized.
The Vice President further encouraged voters to support the NPP ticket for continued progress and development in the country.
