The Member of Parliament for the Sissala East Constituency, Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, is scheduled to file his nomination today to run for a second term in the upcoming December elections.
Chinnia, who was elected to Parliament for the first time in 2020 on the NPP ticket, has been actively involved in various developmental projects across sectors such as education, health, agriculture among others since taking office.
He has also been dedicated to addressing the issue of unemployment in the constituency by creating job opportunities for the youth.
In his bid for re-election, the Deputy Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources aims to continue his ongoing projects and further enhance development in the constituency.
“God willing I will file my nomination as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections tomorrow. I will continue to focus on what I have done so far and what I will do when re-elected. I believe in the judgment of the people of Sissala East and I know they will assessed my performance and come to one conclusion re-election for a second term,” he said.
Chinnia also noted that the people of Sissala East are observing the behavior of other candidates who resort to insults and negativity, and he believes that his track record will speak for itself in the upcoming elections.
“The people of Sissala East are watching those who are competing among themselves about who can insult and denigrate Chinnia more and the verdict will humble them. We are winning big In both parliamentary and presidential,” he stated.
