Simone Biles has done it again! At the Olympics Paris 2024 she became the most decorated American gymnast in history. Already known as the greatest gymnast of all time (GOAT), Biles now has an incredible 38 medals from world championships and the Olympics combined.
Simone Biles surpassed the previous record held by Vitaly Scherbo, thanks to her outstanding performance at the 2023 World Championships, where she won five medals, four of them gold.

On Monday night, Biles and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team won gold in the team final, giving her more Olympic medals than any other American gymnast, with a total of eight medals from three Olympic Games. This achievement breaks the tie she had with Shannon Miller, setting her apart as a true legend in the sport.
Despite feeling nervous before the team final, Biles performed with her usual grace. Simone Biles seemed relaxed and happy throughout the competition, enjoying the support of her teammates and the cheering crowd.
“I had to prove to myself that I could still get out here, twist. I wanted to prove all the haters wrong—that I’m not a quitter,” Biles said last Sunday night. “As long as I’m out there twisting again, finding the joy of gymnastics again, who cares?”

Simone Biles had already set the record for the most gold medals by an American gymnast with her four wins at the Rio Olympics. Now, her achievements in Paris 2024 add another amazing chapter to her career.
