The Nkukuasa Basic School in the Assin North District of Ghana’s Central Region has received a heartwarming boost from the Shared Blessing Alliance (SBA), a charitable organization dedicated to making a positive impact in deprived communities.
Excitement filled the school grounds as SBA donated essential learning items to the students.
The donation included sanitary pads, school bags, exercise books, pens, pencils, and other educational materials, as well as treats like drinks and biscuits.
The donation ceremony was attended by a mix of old students, community members, teachers, and the School Management Committee (SMC).
Mr. Ewuah Mensah, the leader of SBA, shared that the organization’s mission is to support teachers and students in underserved communities.
He noted the vital role educators and learners play in shaping the future and stressed the importance of community support in achieving educational goals.
The generous donation was made possible through the support of sponsors like Madam Naomi Beyeemang Frimpong, SGT Armand Bianca, and SGT Tandoh Therese, whose contributions were instrumental in bringing hope to the children of Nkukuasa Basic School.
Millicent Morrison, the headmistress of the Nkukuasa Basic School, and the SMC expressed deep gratitude for SBA’s kind gesture and that the items will go a long way to improve teaching and learning in the school.
Miss Morrison also appealed for the completion of the kindergarten classroom block which has been abandoned for years to create a conducive learning environment for the children.
Mr. Theophilus Ampomah Amoah, representing the SMC, extended gratitude to the SBA team and sponsors for their generosity.
The event, coinciding with the school’s vacation, brought joy to the students as they interacted with the SBA team and received gifts.
The teachers were also honored for their hard work, receiving tokens of appreciation to inspire them in their noble profession.
