Okada riders to wear prescribed uniforms, undergo training by NRSA before issuing of license

Okada drivers would undergo training by NRSA before issuing licenses to them

The National Road Safety Authority(NRSA) Acting Director General, Abraham Amaliba revealed the NRSA has plans to train motor riders to comply with road safety rules and regulations and also prescribe helmets and uniforms for all motor riders.

Speaking to the Tricycle Operator Association, Koforidua branch, Amaliba revealed that this initiative to reduce motor accidents and plans are underway to begin registration processes.

He also added the motor riders would have prescribed uniforms, helmets. “We will assign a uniform and a specific helmet for you. The DVLA will issue you a special number plate and provide training on how to ride. If you fail to follow the road traffic regulations, the police will start arresting those who do not comply”, he added.
