The Minority in Parliament has requested the presence of Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang in Parliament for the 2025 budget debate proceedings in the house on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, responded to the presentation of the Business Statement for the upcoming week by stating that the Vice President’s vast experience in the education sector should be reflected in the government’s economic and financial policies.
This request is validated by Article 111 of the constitution, which allows the Vice President of Ghana to partake in parliamentary proceedings.
However, the majority caucus and Office of the Vice President is yet to respond to the Minority’s demand for the Vice President’s presence in parliament.
