A shooting incident at the Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School at Bantama in Kumasi, has resulted in serious injuries to two students.
The incident unfolded during break time when Bernard Amoabeng, a Form Two student, brought a gun onto the school premises.
Sources indicate that a dispute arose among the students over the functionality of the gun.
In an attempt to prove it was operational, Amoabeng reportedly fired the weapon, accidentally wounding two of his peers.
One of the victims sustained a severe gunshot injury to her forehead.
She was first taken to the Kwadaso Hospital for emergency treatment but was subsequently transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the critical nature of her injuries.
