Almost 17,000 athletes and Olympic family members have received their Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition at the Olympic™ rendezvous at the Samsung showcase within the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Village.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Edition phone is a special edition of the brand new Galaxy Z Flip6, recently released at Galaxy Unpacked in July. In order to ensure timely delivery to all Paris 2024 athletes even before the official market launch, Samsung had to collaborate more closely than ever with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in order to organize a unique and safer transportation service.
The custom-built smartphone, which is the first Olympic Edition to use Galaxy AI, was specially made to improve the athletes’ experience during the Games. An eSIM with 100GB of 5G data, an unlimited free public transportation access card, and multiple official Olympic apps are among the many special services and helpful apps that are pre-loaded onto it to assist the athletes in meeting new people and experiencing new things during their time in Paris.
