Eno Barony, a well-known secular musician in Ghana, is a study in contrast. On the surface, she appears reserved, but on stage and in her photos, she exudes an incredible amount of energy.
In an interview with Adwoa Afranewaa Frimpong on Orange 107.9 FM, Eno opened up about how she manages to balance her quiet personality with the demands of being a dynamic performer.
When asked how she juggles her reserved nature with her vibrant stage presence, Eno said she views music as an art. “Since I am paid to do it, I know I have to work, and since music is an art, I have to act out what I say,” she explained.
Despite the theatrics and energy she displays on stage, Eno emphasizes the importance of respect in her daily life. She said she doesn’t carry herself like a superstar; instead, she sees herself as a regular person who makes music.
Eno shared with Adwoa Afranewaa her journey of singing all her life. However, as a professional singer in the Ghanaian music industry, she said this year marks her 10th year. To celebrate this milestone, she released the ‘No Manual’ album and plans on organizing concerts in all the places that were her hideouts when she began her music career.

Looking ahead, Eno hinted at a mega concert in Kumasi this year, expressing her excitement about bringing her music and energy to the people of Kumasi.
When asked about the inspiration behind her “No Manual” album, Eno mentioned it was to motivate young artists who aspire to follow in her footsteps. Reflecting on her journey, Eno noted that when she was growing up, there wasn’t anyone doing the kind of music she does now.
“I didn’t have a manual, but now that I am in the space and doing what I do, I have become the manual,” she said. Through her experiences in love, music, and the music industry over the past decade, Eno aims to guide and inspire the next generation of musicians.
Eno Barony’s story is a testament to the power of authenticity and hard work which has helped her carve out a successful career in a demanding industry.
