Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), is expected to begin a regional tour in the Ashanti region, a key stronghold for the party, ahead of the December 7 general elections.
The Presidential candidate, during this pivotal tour, would visit 47 constituencies in the Ashanti region, with the aim to garnering votes and rallying support from the grassroots base for the upcoming general elections.
Bawumia will commence tour with visits to Atwima Mponua, Atwima Nwabiagya North and Atwima Nwabiagya South constituencies.
This campaign tour is aimed at reinforcing the NPP’s presence in the Ashanti Region and an assurance of the party’s commitment to the region.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to hold meetings with local party officials, community leaders and constituents, addressing critical issues and sharing his vision for Ghana’s future.
The Ashanti Region, has been a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party over with years, with a substantial voter base, playing a crucial role in the NPP’s election strategy. Therefore, this tour is crucial in the party’s preparation ahead of the 2024 elections.
