The Management of Ghana Water LTD (GWL) in the Ashanti Region, has announced plans to conduct essential repair works on the main transmission line at the Barekese Treatment Plant.
The maintenance work is crucial to guarantee the uninterrupted supply of water to the Kumasi metropolis.
Scheduled to commence at 6:00am on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024, the repair works are expected to be completed by 6:00pm on Thursday, 24th October 2024.
During this period, customers within the Kumasi metropolis may experience temporary disruptions in their water supply.
As a precautionary measure, customers are advised to store an adequate amount of water to cater to their needs during the maintenance period.
In a statement, Management expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the temporary water supply disruptions and assured customers that supply would be promptly restored once the repair works are concluded.
