President John Dramani Mahama has urged the newly sworn-in Ghana Armed Forces Council to perform their duties with wisdom and integrity.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, March 24, he emphasized the council’s role in maintaining stability and security.
He reminded members that their decisions would significantly impact Ghana’s defence strategy and the well-being of the Armed Forces.
The President stressed their duty to protect Ghana’s peace and identify emerging security threats before they escalate.
“Security threats are evolving—from terrorism and cybercrime to political instability and climate-related challenges,” President Mahama warned.
He urged the council to adopt vigilant, forward-thinking strategies to strengthen national defence and enhance military professionalism.
