Ghana’s Black Stars have been strengthened by the arrival of 14 additional players ahead of their crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger. 

The players who touched down this week join those who began training on Monday, completing the squad for the upcoming matches.

Among the latest arrivals are key figures like Jordan Ayew, goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi, defenders Alidu Seidu and Kingsley Schindler. Promising young talents, Ernest Nuamah and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were also a part of the new arrivals.

They add to the core team, including Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, Osman Bukari, and Joseph Wollacott, who have been training since the start of the week ahead of the AFCON qualifier matches.

Serbian-based left-back Ebenezer Annan was expected to arrive on Tuesday night to complete the squad ahead of their first game. 

The team will hold two additional training sessions in Accra before departing for Luanda on Wednesday.

The Black Stars will take on Angola in an away fixture on Friday, November 15, before returning home to face Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18. 

The team is determined to secure maximum points to improve their chances of advancing in the AFCON qualifiers.
