The Adu-Mante Foundation has donated home appliances valued at Gh¢10,000 to the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Educational Directorate in support of the maiden edition of the Teacher Prize Awards.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 2, 2025, at the Effiakuma Police Park and will celebrate outstanding teachers within the municipality for their dedication and contribution to education.
The donated items, supplied by Legacy Electronics, include a table-top refrigerator, washing machine, four-in-one burner gas cooker with oven, microwave oven, large electric pot, and small electric pot, among others. These will be presented as prizes to award winners on the day.
Speaking to Focus 1 Media, Jeffrey Adu-Mante, a representative of the foundation, said the support was inspired by a desire to uplift teachers.
“The reason for supporting this project is because we believe teachers in our society are underappreciated, and we think more effort is needed to recognize and celebrate them,” he noted.
The Municipal Educational Director, Mrs. Gloria Biney, expressed her appreciation to the foundation for the gesture.
“I am so overwhelmed by this presentation. This will go a very long way to make the program a success,” she said.
The donation underscores the Adu-Mante Foundation’s commitment to promoting education and rewarding excellence in the community.
